you may be early in your tattoo journey—or you may never have touched a tattoo machine. what matters is your artistic curiosity, willingness to learn, and commitment to growth.

why this exists

At FHI, tattooing is a form of modern art.

This residency was created to help emerging artists build a creative home at Fashion Haus Ink where they can explore, challenge themselves, and grow together— and where clients can discover high-end original work created with intention.

what you’ll learn

design development, visual identity, composition + artistic direction

tattoo technique, safety + bloodborne pathogen education, licensing, equipment, setup + technical practice

guided practice, technique development + designing for the body

portfolio development, client communications, professional standards, personal branding, and preparation for independent studio practice

instruction and hands-on practice will be adapted to each artist’s experience, development, and demonstrated readiness.

artists must satisfy all licensing, safety, and readiness requirements before tattooing clients.

INVESTMENT

Investment: $4,000
Option 1: $4,000 paid in full
Option 2: $2,000 to secure placement + $2,000 at a defined point during the Intensive

INVESTMENT

INITIAL INVESTMENT

Artist Intensive Value: $8,000
Due Upon Enrollment: $3,000
Remaining Tuition Balance: $5,000

The remaining $5,000 tuition balance is fully credited through successful participation in the Artist Residency.

6-MONTH ARTIST RESIDENCY

Following the Intensive, artists enter a 6-month Artist Residency at Fashion Haus Ink.

Revenue Split: 70% Artist / 30% Fashion Haus Ink
Monthly Minimum: $2,000

MONTHS 1–5

For each successfully completed residency month, the artist receives a $1,000 tuition credit.

That $1,000 credit counts toward the $2,000 monthly minimum:

$2,000 Monthly Minimum
− $1,000 Tuition Credit
= $1,000 Minimum Studio Contribution

The $1,000 studio contribution is generated through Fashion Haus Ink's 30% share of tattoo revenue.

This means an artist needs to generate approximately $3,333 in tattoo revenue per month to meet the minimum.

After five successfully completed months:

$5,000 in Tuition Credits Earned
Remaining Tuition Balance: $0

MONTH 6

By the sixth month, the Artist Intensive tuition has been fully satisfied.

The artist continues on the 70/30 split with a $2,000 monthly studio minimum.

A NOTE FROM ELI

I created this studio for artists who feel called to bring something of their own into the world—and who want to develop the skill and confidence to express it fearlessly.

For individuals who lead with integrity, stay curious, and value a space for avant-garde creation.

I’m looking for artists who are ready to grow long-term with the haus and contribute to a thoughtful creative space.

During the intensive and supervised transition, I’m committed to investing my time, energy, and experience into supporting that growth.

Fashion Haus Ink is, and always will be, vegan and cruelty-free. Compassion is part of how we create— not separate from it.

love, light, evolution, blessings,

Eli
